The Care Continuum Alliance

The “Care Continuum Alliance” (, the new name for the “DMAA: The Care Continuum Alliance” is the next step in a planned transition to rename the industries premiere organization for companies in the population health management space. Over the past two decades there has been explosive growth and a transition from disease management companies focused on a single chronic disease, to multi-disease approaches and finally to the recognition that to maximize the effects for an individual and a population one needs to provide the full continuum of services.  This is in fact what Preventive Medicine is all about.  The delivery of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention per the clinical science of preventive medicine encompasses health and wellness, early detection for those at risk or who have an undiagnosed condition and chronic condition management according to evidence based guidelines.

The United States and the World are coalescing around the understanding that to fix our health care systems and improve the health of our citizens, we must focus on the full continuum of preventive services and prevention (see this link to changes in the Russian Health Care Program  The Care Continuum Alliance has evolved just as its members have, but its mission, according to Tracey Moorhead, President and CEO, is still the same “to align all stakeholders toward improving the health of populations.”   We look forward to working with the Care Continuum Alliance as it continues to grow and represent U.S. Preventive Medicine and others in our industry seeking to make the world a better place through improved health resulting in More Good Years.
